The T9402 ICS TRIPLEX is a 32-channel discrete (digital) input module designed for use in Triconex Triple-Modular Redundant (TMR) safety instrumented systems (SIS). Manufactured by ICS Triplex (now part of Schneider Electric), the T9402 provides highly reliable, fault-tolerant acquisition of on/off signals from field devices such as pushbuttons, limit switches, pressure switches, and relay contacts—commonly used in Emergency Shutdown (ESD), Fire & Gas (F&G), and process interlock applications.

Each of the 32 channels operates independently with 24 V DC nominal sensing, featuring built-in debouncing, surge suppression, and open-wire detection to ensure signal integrity even in electrically noisy industrial environments. The module leverages Triconex’s patented TMR architecture: every input signal is simultaneously processed by three independent microprocessors, and a voting mechanism ensures correct operation even if one channel fails—delivering zero undetected failures.

The T9402 ICS TRIPLEX supports hot-swappable installation, allowing replacement without shutting down the safety controller.
